General Cable offers 220 Mils, Three Conductor Cable. All the products of General Cable are manufactured in accordance to ISO 9001:2000. The 220 Mils, Three Conductor Cable has 2 AWG thru 750 kcmil bare copper conductor. The cable has a thermoset semi-conducting strand shield, which is extruded over the conductor. Insulation is Tree-Retardant Cross-Linked Polyethylene [TR-XLPE] and the Insulation Shield consists of a semi-conducting thermosetting layer, applied in a triple extrusion process, plus a helically applied gapped copper tape.
Inner Jacket is made of flame-retardant, moisture and sunlight-resistant Polyvinyl Chloride [PVC]. The 220 Mils, Three Conductor Cable is used for wiring in all hazardous locations, for exposed and concealed wiring in dry, damp or wet locations and for use in ventilated, non-ventilated and ladder-type cable trays in dry, damp or wet locations. These 220 Mils, Three Conductor Cable is also used for direct earth burial, when required. The cable is rated at 90°C wet or dry and features good crush, oil and chemical resistance. It provides a long service life and is a cost-effective alternative to installations in conduit.
