Emco Lenze , an Indo-German joint venture company, offers manufactures spring loaded DC fail safe brakes, Type 14.448 [normally on]. These which are available with tubular bushes for air gap setting. The torque is 4 Nm to 650 Nm. The brake engages when the power is withdrawn ensuring 100% safety. These brakes are available with tubular bushes for air gap setting/easy manual hand release, with non asbestos German friction liners as option for brake sizes 06-18. In size 20 and 25 brakes, non-asbestos German liners are used as standard. And Aall brakes have Class F insulation. All parts are protected from rust. Brakes are also available with micro switch/tacho mounting provision/IP 66 and also brakes for elevated temperatures [- 40 to +55?C]. These brakes find application in brake motors, cranes and hoists, machine tools, material handling, packaging, presses, printing machinery, switchgears, textile machinery, washing machines and tyre making machinery.
