The Carbazochrome Salicylate Injection is a systemic hemostat that is advocated for bleeding tendency [e.g. purpura] due to reduced capillary resistance or increased capillary permeability.Each ml of Sigmachrome Injection contains Carbazochrome salicylate equivalent to Adrenochrome monosemicarbazone 5 mg; and Benzyl alcohol [as preservative] 2.5% v/v. The injection comes in 10 ml vials.
Therapeutic Indications & Usage of Carbazochrome Salicylate Injection are:
Bleeding from skin - burns, mucosa - hematemesis, malena, epistaxis, hematuria, hemoptysis, hemorrhagic gingivitis, or endometrium - menorrhagia, due to decreased capillary resistance, bleeding from the fundus of the eye, renal bleeding and bleeding from the uterus.
Abnormal bleeding due to reduced capillary resistance during or after surgery.
Sigmachrome is also advocated for prevention and treatment of pre- and post-operative bleeding. It is useful for all delicate operations including those for highly vascularized tissues: ENT, gynecology, obstetrics, urology, odontostomatology, ophthalmology, plastic and reconstructive surgery, vascular surgery, neurosurgery, oncosurgery.
