HMT Machine Tools provides CNC turning centres [model Stallion-100] targeted for application in small job shops and medium general engineering workshops. Maximum rigidity for comprising precision turning is given by one-piece cast iron structure comprising bed and base. Adequately sized ball screws with high performance AC servos, optimally designed headstock/tailstock and ergonomically placed controls give superior performance and reliability. Some of the special features include: monolithic mechanite ally cast iron bed base for excellent rigidity and vibration dampening ensures high precision in all types of jobs; highly efficient main spindle drive with very low idle power even at maximum speed, reduces operational cost; large 32 mm diameter ball screws for X and Z axes for long life; attention free direct coupling between ball screws and feed motors; ball screw supported on INA make needle roller thrust cylindrical roller bearing of ample dimensions for high rigidity and long life; and built-in rotating centre for tailstock with matched set of high precision angular contact ball bearings.
