Product Profile of Custom-built Gear Boxes
Elecon Engineering manufactures & presents custom-built Gearboxes [SBF 355/350/S/SO] for sheet metal rolling. These are parallel shaft gearboxes with pinion stand, either two or three high, used for cold rolling of metal sheets or strips. Teeth of pinion, wheel & pinion, stand pinions are constructed from high tensile carburising alloy steel, 17 CrNiMo6 as per DIN 17210 case and hardened to 60 +/- 2 HRC & accurately ground to class of accuracy 6 according to DIN 3961-63, high speed shafts dynamically balanced. The shafts are upholded on anti-friction special roller bearings of proper size to look after radial & axial loads allowing independence against misalignment up to a great extent. The gearbox is installed with centralized lube oil system for giving essential amount of oil to different gear meshes & thereby enabling smooth & obstacle-free operation.
