Product Profile of Double Inserts
To double insert tools, Komet has applied the principle of the replaceable cutting body. Following are some of the technical features of these double inserts which include: double inserts with high cutting speeds; drill with two replaceable, screw-on cutter bodies - no regrinding required; boring depths up to 5 x D; optimum internal coolant supply; diameter range 17.3 to 44 mm; Torx plus clamping system; ABS connection and cylindrical shank [combination shank] to DIN 6535HE [similar to 1835E] and DIN 6595; and intermediate dimensions on standard tool body can be implemented with great flexibility by using inserts.
