The Dry Smelter Feed Analyzer, Model DSA-200, uses X-Ray Fluorescence [XRF] method of on-line elemental analysis in dry powder or granulated streams. The Dry Smelter Feed Analyzer provides for continuous on-line measurement of a number of elements from Aluminium to Uranium and heavy metals in the feed to the smelter. The assay information output to the controlling computer [PC] enables plant operators, or a process control system, to make changes to the process operation to ensure product quality specifications are met.
