Venturi type construction for better solid-liquid contact increasing the gas-liquid contact for better de-sulphurization. This can remove up to 80% SO2.

Back pressure control loop - smooth operation of the upstream equipment. Level controllers on tank maintain the liquid level constant automatically.
Filters provided at inlet of pump to avoid clogging of pump.
Orifice plate type flow indicator cum switch for liquid circulation flow rate.
Pressure switch on pump outlet for low-pressure alarm-avoids dry running of the pump.
Pressure switch across the filter gives alarm when filter gets chocked.
