Litel IR Systems offers Expansion Shrink Fit. Advantages of the Expansion Shrink fit are: localized heating ensures only the portion of to be expanded is heated and other portions not heated to the same extent; short time cycle - typically 60 to 120 secs, leading to compact size of machine; just-in-time operation - the infrared is switched On and Off after the object enters infrared zone; and absolutely no heat up/ cool down time and no inventory of hot parts. The conveyors are specially developed for the purpose and the entire unit including conveyor and IR zone in PLC controlled. It can be effective both as a standalone machine or a machine synchronized with other conveyors [upstream and downstream] through PLC. Infrared is latest technology and is clean to operate. Typical operations handled are expansion of cylinder head bores for fitting valve seats, expansion of piston bores for fitting gudgeon pins, expansion of small end bore of connecting rod for fitting bearings and expansion of gears for fitting them on the shaft, etc.
