Lakshmi Machine Works offers horizontal machining centre, Ooty 40, ideal for heavy-duty material removal. The Ooty 40 employs a heavy-duty double tube bed and a triangular column construction to allow heavy-duty machining free of vibration. The spindle is driven by a stepless direct drive AC 7.5/11 kW spindle motor so that ample power is available over a wide speed range. Reduced non-cut time: The tool change time is only 1.5 sec. Tool-to-Tool: 4.6 sec, Chip-to-chip. APC time is about 6 sec only. Additionally, most of the sequenced operations take place simulataneously, e.g., rapid traverse and table indexing or ATC/APC operation. Simplicity of use: The Ooty 40 layout is straightforward, convenient, and easy to use. Elaborate safety arrangement: The machine is supplied with covers on all sides including an overhead cover for the machining area. The ATC and the APC are in separate enclosures. The table indexing uses non-lift design to add to the reliability of the machine.
