Product Profile of Infrared Temperature Sensors
Smartec BVof Holland has introduced a unique smart infrared sensor, SMTIR 1093, in 5 housings. The sensor is a miniaturized set of thermopile sensors to detect very srnall amount of heat radiation, transmitted by I/R filter window. By Seeback effect radiation heat will be converted to voltage output. Standard model is available filled with inert gas [nitrogen]. On request the sensor can be supplied with helium gas lo lower the time constant. The sensor chip is encapsulated in metal to 5 header with silicon I/R transmission filter. Special features are solid state, low cost, small size. Typical uses: non contact temperature measurement, heat detection, absorption in gas analyzers, etc. Typical measurement range: 100?C to 2,000?C.
