Product Profile of Insulation Piercing & Branching Connectors
FCI OEN Connectors, a leading France-based MNC, manufactures insulation piercing and branching connectors, among other types of connectors. The connectors come with waterproof [6 kV] insulation piercing [IPC] for ABC. These have applications in flowing situations: connector insulated with simultaneous tightening for tapping on aerial insulated bundled conductors [ABC]; installation on live lines, secured with plastic nut; no apparent metallic part is at line potential, during and after installation; and connectors can be removed but cannot be re-used after installation. Installation: tighten shear off plastic nut with an insulated hexagonal head socked wrench [13 rom between flats]. Installation temperature range - 15?C/+ 40?C.
