Product Profile of Miniature Magnetic Encoder
Fci Oen Connectors Ltd. offers Miniature Magnetic Encoder, escap F16 incremental encoder, manufactured byPortescap. These encoder comprises two quadrature output channels in a diameter of only 16 mm. The base resolution of 16 pulses per revolution results in 64 pulses with quadrature. This represents a pulse every 5,631, with a precision of ?2.10, opening vast possibilities for position control for miniature motors and mechanisms. The integrated electronic circuit works reliably up to 50,000 RPM, enabling for speed control over a wide range. Advantages of magnetic encoders are as follows:

- power consumption: the escap Fl6 needs a current of only 6 mA and a voltage between 3.5 V and 15 V.
