Product Profile of Opto Sensors In M12 Housings
Balluff India manufactures BOS-12M opto sensors in M12 housings with trend towards miniaturization not stopped at beloved M18 housing. Gebhard Balluff currently provides a complete line of optosensors in same housing as M12 x 1 inductive proximity switches. This new technology simplifies design of systems and machines; make sensor type conversions easier and reduces inventory by permitting multiple use of mounting accessories. The BOS-12M series come in a price which also resemblance to proximity switches. Optical solutions are no longer cost-prohibitive. Performance and practicality are the only deciding factors. The latest BOS-12M family include performance data which used to be possible only with larger sensors: diffuse with 400 mm sensing distance, adjustable; retro-reflective with polarizing filter, up to 1.5 m adjustable range and red light and through-beam with 5 m range, red light and adjustable sensitivity. The additional switching state display in the opto head makes it easier to align the sensor.
