Power Compensation Systems

Fast response, transient free reactive power compensation systems are supplied by Neel Industrial system. There are different types of this system are available which include: Basic systems-include iorn core reators to limit the inrush current; Detuned Systems- include reactors that detune the network to prevent resonance and absorb upto 50% of the 5th harmonic; Unbalanced systems- individual phases are separately corrected, line to line or line to neutral. Various advantageous features of this system are as follows: transient free capacitor group switching, using electronic switching elements;enhances capacity of transformers, local generator systems, such as diesel and wind mill genarators; avoids wave form distortions, since capacitors are connected and disconnected during `zero current`; prevents damage to sensitive electronic equipment; saves energy by reduced max. demand, Pf bonus & saving in transformer losses; accurate power factor control, even in the presence of the harmonics, dramatically increases the life expectancy of switching elements and capacitors; modular and upgradable with increased plant load.
