Product Profile of Programmable I/o Controller, Pio-03
Interface Design Associates has introduced PIO-03, a PC-based programmable I/O controller. This enhances the functionality of PC-based position controllers with:
1] additional digital inputs,
2] additional digital outputs,
3] priority interrupt inputs, and
4] manmachine interface with display and membrane keypad.
Used in conjunction with the SC-02 or the SER-01 controller, the PIO-03 converts the PC into a full-fledged CNC control station. It offers the user with flexibility, programmability and reliable interfaces to digital inputs, outputs and other digital data. It gives 16 digital inputs [TTL level]. It has matching daughter boards that ensure optoisolation between the PC and the field signals. The controller gives 16 digital outputs [TTL level]. Matching daughter boards are available that convert these TTL level signals to 24 V, open collector, NPN outputs with 200 mA capacity. The PIO-03 controller offers direct interface between the PC and man-machine interface inlcuding LCD/LED-based displays and membrane keypads. Different standard configurations of MMIs come that are selected based on the application. Customised MMIs can also be offered , if required.
