Product Profile of Rotameters
RR Flowmeters provides a range of rotameters. Water auditing, i.e., measuring the flow rate in pipes without causing any damage to them, with clamp-on type portable ultrasonic flow meters, is one of the company`s main activities. Existing flow meter calibration, pump discharge or efficiency assessment, comparison of energy consumed against flow discharged, etc., are also similar jobs the company does. It also can be applicable to measures the flow rate of water in canals or open conduits with proper flumes. Servicing, calibration, repair, water auditing and replacements of all types of flow meters are also part of its services to the industry. Most rotameters/variable-area flow meters consist of a tapered tube containing a float. Fluid passing through the meter exerts an upward force on the float that is counterbalanced by the force of gravity. The point at which the float stays constant indicates the volumetric flow rate, which is often read on a scale on the meter tube. The tubes are made of metal, glass, or plastic.
