Product Profile of Self Indicating Blue Silica Gel
Self Indicating Blue Silica Gel is prepared by impregnating White Silica gel with Cobalt Chloride present in a concentration of 0.5 to 1% weight. The Blue Silica Gel provides the blue colour appearance as an indicator. The Blue Silica Gel adsorbs moisture in exactly the same way as standard non-indicating [white] silica gel. The Self Indicating Blue Silica Gel turns pink indicating it has adsorbed moisture and needs to be replaced.
