Coating thickness meters from India Tools & Instruments Co is particularly designed for ferrous & non-ferrous metals. Having magnetic or eddy-current measuring principle these instruments are capable of measuring up to 2000 microns. The resolution of these instruments is 0.1/1 microns. Power supply is 4 x 1.5 V AA [UM-3] batteries/. The presence of F-probe enable the measurement of thickness of non-magnetic coating layers of aluminum, chrome, copper, enamel, rubber, paint on magnetic substrate. The N-probe is mostly used in the laboratory and in harsh field conditions. These coating meters can measure on all non magnetic coatings like varnish, paint, enamel, chrome, copper, zircon, on non-ferrous metal base materials. These meters are also capable of measuring electrically insulating coatings, such as lacquer, paint and anodizing coatings on non-ferrous metals.
