This Tool Presetter is the product of PWB AG, Switzerland, the Toolmaster 310 combines innovative technology and practical functional design resulting in a cost effective instrument. It features: Patented needle bearing tool holder for high accuracy; 2D measuring probe; shock-proof dial indicator with auto shift release and overload protection; and single handed operation with infinite fine adjustment in both axes. Accessories like ISO 40 and 50 master mandrels, reduction adaptors, VDI holders, etc; pre-stressed linear guideways with recirculating bearings allow absolute precision and fatigue-proof working as against low-cost slideways used by other manufacturers. All bearings/slides are protected by bellows. A unique feature of the system is the electronic compensation for axis parallelism and electronic correction of angle. The electronic display includes a linear compensation for axis errors. Due to the standard RS232 interface, the Toolmaster 310 can be connected to a computer for tool management and DNC. No special training is required for operators because of the in-built measuring electronics via Model TMA 21, which also contains a number of advanced features as standard.
