Features of the transducers from Balluff India: These are non-contact alternatives to wear-prone potentiometers while offering a high degree of protection and ease of installation. The measuring point along the sensing element [wave guide] is indicated by a passive marker [magnet], which has no power requirement. The transducer provides a continuous and absolute position feedback and relays an output in either voltage or digital start/stop. Specifications: The voltage output is available with 0-10V and 10-0V. The digital output will provide the controller with a stop pulse for every start pulse given. Resolution of 10 micron with a typical non-linearity of 0.02% is possible. Measuring stroke ranges between 50 and 4000 mm. Properties of the transducers: non-contact detection of the actual position; IP 67, insensitive to contamination; wear-free; insensitive to shock and vibrations; absolute output signal; direct signal processing or through processor cards for interfacing with any control system or stand-alone operation.
