Product Profile of Welding Machine For Brake Shoe Welding
Mechelonic Engineers has introduced special purpose projection welding machine, specially designed for welding brake shoe assemblies. The machine is designed with basic welding transformer, microprocessor based weld control, pneumatically actuated vertical welding head and horizontal welding head, special rotary indexing fixture with drives, etc, for the manufacturing of brake shoe assemblies. The web is situated on the rotating fixture and the rim is placed correctly locating its relative position with respect to the web. The welding is initiated by a foot-switch. The weld schedule is executed and the fixture automatically indexes to the next projection. The welding schedule is repeated in continuous mode. Each rotary table carries two fixtures, thereby one fixture is free for loading/unloading, when the other is being welded. The machine has facility for the operator to retain it in continuous operation while loading and unloading the fixture sequentially. The off time setting in the weld schedule is usable to control the cycle time without hampering weld quality. Nominal rating is1,00 kVA; whereas maximum secondary current is40 kA; and number of brake shoe assemblies per minute - 8 [approx].
