Hot Sizing Mill Gearbox [pix Ele7]

Product Profile of Hot Sizing Mill Gearbox [pix Ele7]
Elecon Engineering Company supplies has developed a special purpose custom built gearbox, type SBN 2 x 570705 S/SO for driving 7 roll stand hot sizing mill for stainless steel pipe finishing. The gearbox is basically designed to transmit power from 2 x 340 kW, 750 RPM DC motor with a reduction ratio of 15.95:1. It consists of twin-double reduction stages having two input shafts followed by cluster of l : l ratio gear trains resulting into 7 output shafts which are rotating at the same speeds, but having different direction of rotations. Following are some of the hardware features of this hot sizing mill gearbox: The gears are manufactured de from high tensile carburising alloy steel, 17 CrNiMob as per DIN 17210 case hardened to 60 ? HRC and precisely ground to class of accuracy 6 as per DIN 3961-63. The output shafts are made from medium carbon steel CK 60 V as per DIN 17200 of adequate size to withstand heavy load transmission. This features into for better rigidity without undue deflection. The shafts are supported in anti friction spherical roller bearings of adequate size to take care of radial as well as axial loads permitting large degree of freedom against misalignment. The forced lubrication system is provided supplied along with the gearbox which incorporatesincorporating various monitoring and inter locking for temperature pressure, flow rate, etc, to achieve smooth and trouble free operation during load transmission. Various technical features of this hot sizing mill gearbox include:The gearbox is basically designed to transmit power from 2 x 340 kW, 750 RPM DC motor with a reduction ratio of 15.95:1 which consists of twin-double reduction stages having two input shafts followed by cluster of l : l ratio gear trains resulting into 7 output shafts which are rotating at the same speeds, but having different direction of rotations.
